With the New Moon in Scorpio on Monday 13th at 9.27am (GMT), this week’s blog looks at the upcoming energy and how you can work with it in your life and business.

New Moons are the start of a new 28-day lunar cycle. This is a time for setting intentions around how you want your life to look and how you will bring that into your reality. New Moons are new beginnings, it’s not only time for a fresh start, but also to recommit to the things that matter most to you. Think about where you have been focusing your time and if that aligns with what you want to accomplish. What goals did you set for this year, how are you doing with them? Are you ready to work on them again?

With the New Moon in Scorpio, we look at themes around regeneration, transformation, healing, renewal, following your passion and dealing with complex situations. As a water sign, Scorpio feels all the feelings and feels them deeply. As a fixed sign, Scorpio can be stubborn. There is a mysterious side to Scorpio that is both alluring and terrifying. They are both the Phoenix rising from the ashes and the scorpion with the sting in their tail.

We can work with the Scorpio New Moon energy in practical ways throughout the lunar cycle. Scorpio loves to get to the bottom of things and discover secrets and mysteries, making this an ideal time to do some research or investigation or anything that needs to be analysed. This could be your next holiday, Christmas recipes or market research for a new offer in your business. As the sign of secrecy, don’t forget to protect your privacy. Do you need to change your passwords or invest in online security?

Scorpio is a spiritual sign, very connected to the occult, so it’s a great time to connect with yourself and your intuition. Learn how to meditate, or deepen your practice, so you can listen to your intuition. Try a new divination technique or get a Tarot Reading to give yourself a bigger-picture view of what is going on in your life. Listen to music that speaks to your soul.

Don’t forget to make time for physical activities, Scorpio has a lot of energy to burn, how will you direct it?

We can also work with the Scorpio energy to set our intentions for the next four weeks. Here are some questions you can ask yourself;

  1. What are my intentions for this lunar cycle?

  2. Where can I be less fearful?

  3. What do I need to heal?

  4. Where can I transform?

  5. How can I express my deepest emotions?

  6. How can I reconnect with my passions?

Make sure that you set aside time around the New Moon, within 8 hours afterwards is the best time, but the intention is what is most important so don’t stress if you can’t. Light a candle and make yourself comfortable. Allow yourself to daydream about what you want your life to look like. Think about or journal on the above questions and then ask your heart what it is that you truly desire. Write down your New Moon Wishes and put them somewhere you will see them every day to keep them fresh in your mind.

This New Moon is happening right next to Mars, the planet of drive and determination. This will give us clearer focus and an extra push on our passion projects. If you are still waiting for “the right time” to start something new, this is it!! Follow your need for adventure and dare to move forward.

Uranus is also making its presence known by giving us that independent streak which is at odds with Scorpio’s emotional needs. Where do you feel like you have been wronged? How can you use the Scorpio energy to transform that into something that will support you in moving forward?

Neptune is warning us to be wary of other people taking advantage. What is it that you want? Are you sacrificing too much of yourself to make other people happy?
